I was really excited to see this weeks topic since I've started participating I was hoping I could finally use the my car for the theme. Cars are my other, more expensive hobby .

Below is a shot I took of my car. To the fellow gearheads, its an '87 RX-7 but I did an LS1 V8 conversion to it.

LS1 conversion = winner!!tho my ideal is with an FD body loving the shot and location in an alley,but its a little too tilted for my taste.either way great shot man!

I agree that the tilt is a bit much but I like the shot overall.

Any idea about the weight difference from the KA24 to the LS1? Those "old fashioned" pushrod V8's are pretty awesome when it comes to size and pretty light for their displacement when rendered in aluminum!

Great car and I agree a bit too much on the tilt. I wonder what it would look like in B&W too. The alley is a great background.

gotta love an RX-LS! Although, the rotary owner in me cringes just a little bit..until I ride in one with an LSx motor. Agreed about the tilt, its a bit much for me. That alley does look like a great place, a fisheye or Super Wide Angle lens would be fun in that alley.

I know, but after 2 motors and 7 yrs with the rotary it was time for change. I was afraid to drive the car.Doesn't take away from the 'cooleness' of the rotary.

I did have some shots @ 10mm but something just wasn't right. Maybe i'll upload them and put links to them for anyone curious.

I hear you on the motors...I am on #2.

We have a guy with a shop here locally, that builds some of the best LS conversions around. I wish I could afford to put one in my RX-8 but that is not an easy task.
