A much closer look at the Bridge of No Return. Pretty creepy knowing that crossing it will get you killed on sight.

"Located in the Joint Security Area (JSA), the so-called "Bridge of No Return" crosses the Military Demarcation Line (MDL) between North Korea and South Korea. It was used for prisoner exchanges at the end of the Korean War in 1953. The name originates from the claim that many war prisoners captured by the United States did not wish to return home. The prisoners were brought to the bridge and given the choice to remain in the country of their captivity or cross over to the other country. However, if they chose to cross the bridge, they would never be allowed to return."

Nice shot! Are you in the military or there on vacation?

Thanks a lot, and yes, Air Force. I've been stationed in South Korea for about 9 months so far, with 3 left to go.

Much appreciated! It was a very rushed shot as the person showing us around didn't want to linger there, for understandable reasons.

Great shot with an even greater story. I can feel the tension within the image.

B&W really adds to the creepy mood. Hard to believe its still so open on both ends.
