I'm thawing out my frozen Alaskan bones on the south shore of Kauai and visited Hanapepe on Friday night. Known as Kauai's "biggest little town", the local artists put on quite a show.

This is a shot of the Talk Story Bookstore (who touts itself as "The Western-Most Independent Bookstore of the United States") and the old Aloha Theater (ravaged after Hurricane Iniki on 9/11/92). Given the size of the image, I'm not sure if you can see the two teenagers with guitars in front of the bookstore. They played their hearts out in a lively rendition of the Beatles' "Come Together" and earned $5 from my wife.
Aloha!
