All I can see is an outstanding image of the bird, very sharp, excellent colors, no noticeable grain for especially shot at ISO 1600.
You "expert" people can analyze it any which way you want it, what I see is an excellent shot of a bird.
The image also seems kind of noisy and low resolution.
This sort of snotty, superior, garbage is one of the reasons I seldom bother even looking at the FM forums any longer. Go back under a rock and polish up your Zeiss "glass".

most of the softness/plasticky ness of the image come from too narrow a dof. it's clear that while the eye is in good focus most of the bird's body is slightly oof. this creates an unfortunate loss of fine detail/microwhatever. i'm curious how much you need to stop a 300mm lens down to get a solid 4 inches of real dof with this camera?
Somebody needs their eyes fixed. I've already had mine done and I'm 20/15 and I'm tellin ya that shot is surprisingly good considering all the parameters. I'm particularly shocked it was done with a V series camera to begin with. I expected to see grain in the background bokeh....it ain't there. That is certainly better than a lot I've seen from the V series cameras in the past.
