Thanks Ron. Those Kingfishers always play it hard to get but I managed to sneak up on them occasionally.

Hi Steve,

Florida is something special. I've spent parts of a year in FL for the past 20 years so I know the areas really well. There are places where the "birds grow on trees", and the variety is oh so wonderful. For the Hoodies, since they're so skittish I figured we better get ourselves in the water (this was at a shallow pond, no alligators!) and waited for them to ignore us. Sure enough they went on chasing the females and forgot to pay attention to the cameras.
