Looks like 400 DO is it, although not by a wide margin.
Actually, shouldn't be surprised by that......400 DO is a very handy lens, relatively easy to carry around and shoot with.
Wow, not a lens I expected to see on this list. For some reason I don't see a lot of talk about the 400 DO. Nice to know it's such a well used lens

Perhaps I need to clarify this a bit, because I do not wish to overinflate the 400 DO user review standing.
The primary and dominant reason for such high 400DO utilization is its low weight for the nominal aperture and focal length. If Southern Ontario ambient light was always good like in Southern California, I would have used 400 f/5.6 or 100-400 instead.
If I was exceptionally strong with a very high level of endurance, I would have used 500 f/4 or 400 f/2.8 instead.
All other performance features of 400 DO are adequate at best, except AF response can be qualified as very good.
Therefore, if it wasn't for its extremely low weight for aperture/FL, 400 DO would have been a very unremarkable lens that would hardly sell even at a 1/2 of its current price.

Last year my most heavily-used lens was the 15-85 IS ef-s. It is stored on the camera and is my go-to lens when I don't have time for set-up. Second was my Sigma 50mm F/1.4 . It has proven to be a really capable portrait lens on a crop body.
Are you guys using a SW to report the % by analyzing your 2011 folders? If so, can you share it.
My bet: all on 7D - roughly in that order (number of shots - if number of keeper then 100-400 3rd):
100-400
10-22
24-105
70-200 f4 IS
50 1.4
100 Macro
85L (got it for Christmas)

Well, as the OP said, Lightroom is one such SW. You look at the # of pictures taken in 2011, then you look at the numbers taken by each lens, divide the smaller number by the bigger one, and have the percentage.
Tamron 17-50 f/2.8.... until.... I got the EF 24-105 f/4L. It hasn't been off my camera but twice since I bought it. Cant wait to use it on my new 5D MkII.
