I'm not at all paranoid about a little dust but that's incredible.
Ya the dust makes the lens hunt a little more but... the front element is clean. The dust you see is inside the lens. The dust is there in the lens not by my lack of care... I keep a microfiber towel near to wipe the dust off the lens constantly.

I've got to say, I'm truly impressed with the colors of that lens. It does very, very well.
those photos of that PoS humming bird are not very good evidence of this lens' capabilities.
Yes as long as you have a good SS this lens is actually not that bad. I am actually shocked the lens did so well opened up in the studio examples (I usually shoot it around f11 or so).

I'm interested to actually try this at "studio range" style shooting. I'm going to set up some lights and see how it is in the 11/16 range with maybe some tools or something. If I can get out and just snap a few photos again, I will.
As you can see from my "snapshots", I'm definitely limited in my "ability" of things that aren't "people" lol. I'm all about portrait photography. Random "stuff" I can't do. The 200 1.8 thread with NikonAIS dude, he can take a photo of a freaking lighting bank and it looks good.
