I've had several websites including roll my own and LiveBooks. I recently switched to Photodeck.com as it has many features that LiveBooks did not. These include the ability to upload original resolution files and the corresponding ability to sell downloads of various resolutions without my intervention.
It's also cheaper than LiveBooks at $29.99 per month for a Pro account. There is also a Lite version for $9.99 per month as well as a more expensive option for video sites.

Hey Meghanphoto510, our sites are so similar! Hah!
I also used ISHIMOTO from Squarespace. Love it, although there are quite a few issues that are bugging me.
If you have any questions, feel free to ask. Maybe we can help each other out with the Squarespace knacks =)
Although I dont consider myself a professional (more of a rather serious amateur) heres my site through smugmug which I created last summer to showcase my stuff. I am hoping to keep practicing and perhaps backup shoot weddings next summer..
Put in the zenfolio camp, I'm not good at coding so I went with zen for the ability to customize the templates, remove their logos, unlimited content. Wish they had dual language capabilities, the feature is under review forever. Went for a clean, uncluttered look:

Lots of great sites here everyone. I'm so interested at the lots of different approaches everyone took to their websites.
I have a background in web design, but even with this knowledge the time investment to develop a site from scratch didn't make sense when for a small amount of money I could leverage other technologies and adapt them to be my own. I decided to use the Wordpress content management system and ProPhoto theme as my foundation, and then customized them to suit my logo and vision. The theme was a one time fee so now I just pay for my webhosting and keep the recurring costs down. Now that the initial design is complete I can focus on content and let the details of the website get out of the way - this was my goal when I set the site up and I'm so happy now that its reached this point.
I still have some things I need to tweak on mine - trying to get a proper logo together for one thing and I will start a blog at some point but here's what I've got so far:
