This works with both WE mode on and off. I see no improvement in IQ or CA with WE mode on.
That is actually nothing new, the camera has always been able to AF with the conversion lenses on, including the Sony FE.
Only issue is that it doesn't AF correctly and you get a very soft image. This is still the case with 1.30 as well.
With the Sony FE what you actually have to do is manually focus the lens to about 5 feet and stop down to f4 and you'll get a sharp image
