I guess that eventually, all of these models still out in the wild will come to Peter. After all, he knows best how to handle 'em.
Me, I only have 5 lenses now. Still hanging out here on FM has spoiled me quite a bit... not long ago I wouldn't have thought that having more than 3 lenses is sane and even, by the local standard, tame.
So my wish list - provided that my interest in photography isn't phased out some time soon - is this. Asterisk marks the lenses I already have:
Sigma 14mm f/2.8 *
Canon EF 16-35mm f/2.8 L II *
Canon EF 24mm f/1.4 L II
Canon EF 24-85mm f/3.5-4.5 *
Tamron 60mm f/2 macro
Sigma 85mm f/1.4
Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8 L IS * (if we're dreaming, I could get a II version instead, or jump for the Sigma below)
Sigma 120-300mm f/2.8 OS
Canon EF Extender 1.4x III
Maybe also these:
Sigma 50mm f/1.4
Sigma 150mm f/2.8 OS macro
Tamron 70-300mm f/4-5.6 VC USD
Canon EF Extender 2x III
That's 12 at most (each extender counts as half a lens) but I can't think of more, unless I start a second system (there's already a Sony NEX in the family - my wife's the primary user - and frankly I'm more likely to boost that system instead of my EOS).
Carl Zeiss T* Sonnar ZA 24mm f/1.8
Sony E 50mm f/1.8 OSS
Sony E 55-210mm f/4.5-6.3 OSS
Sigma 8-16mm f/4.5-5.6
LA-EA2 adapter
17-40 F/4 L
EF-S 17-55 F/2.8 IS
ZE Distagon 21 F/2.8
TS-E 24 F/3.5 L II
Leica R 28 F/2.8 ROM
35 F/1.4L
CV Ultron 40 F/2
50 F/1.0 L
50 F/1.8 II
ZE Makro-planar 50 F/2
CV Nokton 58 F/1.4
EF-S 60 F/2.8 macro
85 F/1.8
TS-E 90 F/2.8 L
135 F/2 L
Sigma 150 F/2.8 macro HSM
70-200 F/2.8 L IS II
70-200 F/4.0 L IS
500 F/4 L IS II
Currently own all except the Leica 28 and Canon 500. That may explain why I think I can live with only 19 lenses. Once the last two are purchased, I will need another one
After a half hour laughter I am trying to give you MY answer, Peter.
- Canon EF 24-70 2.8 L IS
- Canon EF 70-200 2.8 L II IS USM
- Canon EF 70-200 4.0 L IS USM
- Canon EF 70-200 2.8 L II USM
- Canon EF 70-200 4.0 L USM
The 2.8 L II IS to use it as long I can lift it, the 4.0 IS for after and the two non IS to enhance my handhold capabilities and got the feeling to be young again.
But seriously:
- Canon EF 70-200 4.0 L IS USM
- Canon EF 24-70 2.8 L IS USM (as soon it exists)
- Canon EF 24-105 2.8 L IS USM (instead and if they make that)
- Canon EF 24-105 4.0 L IS USM (if they do not)
- Canon EF 50 1.4 L USM (if they create one)
- Canon EF 50 1.2 L (If they do not)
- Canon EF 100 2.8 L IS USM
14L II
24L II
35L
50L
85L
135L
200 f/2L
200 f/1.8L
300 f/2.8 II
400 f/2.8 II
500 f/4 II
600 f/4 II
16-35L II
24-105L
24-70L
70-300L
70-200 f/2.8 II
200-400 f/4L
8-15L
70-200 f/4L IS
I think that is about all of them Ten lenses maybe would have been a little more exciting to make, since 20 is about the entire collection

Peter, thank you. Every lens serves a purpose. The Ultron 40 is a pancake lens that maintains the low profile even with the hood on. I like it better than the EF 35 F/2, even though I have to turn a ring on the lens to make it focus

Peter,
I really want to keep the 200/2.8 I could take out one of the TSE lenses and add the 200/2
I understand. I also continue to keep and use my 200 f/2.8 whenever I don't feel like schlepping heavy stuff. The smaller prime doesn't compromise performance by much compared to its bigger and faster siblings.
