I got my second 70-200 II yesterday from B&H... Really great copy of the lens. Very close to my current one, so I am keeping the newest one I just got. Since I now have a 2-year warranty on it (1 year Canon, +1 year Amex), and that new lens smell...
I am just going to wait a few weeks for all the rebates end to unload my extra one... Sell it just to break even for what I bought the new one for.

I have the same 100L + 135L combo. I bought the 70-200 f/2.8 IS L II for $1970.00 I can say that the 70-200 is astonishingly sharp.....with bokeh that is gorgeous. The convenience of a zoom is important to some people. The only downside compared to the 100/135 combo is weight. The 70-200 is heavier. But of course you won't have to switch lenses with the 70-200.
In my case I'll be selling the 100 and 135 soon.
My 135 may be on the chopping block soon too...maybe I'll get an 85 1.8, and put the difference towards a 24.

I'll still be in the return window for my 135L, my 70-200 comes today, but I'm not entirely sure I'll want to return it. Grandted, they're fairly redundant, but that f/2 is creamy for sure.
I'll have to pull some tests with the 70-200, especially with point highlights and their shapes. On the 135L, point highlights turn hexagonal *really* quickly (think background Christmas tree lights), as soon as f/2.8 in some cases. If the 70-200 can do better, then maybe I'll return the 135L (though I want to keep it also).
Of course, I'll also have to do a bokeh test, as I sometimes read complaints of the 70-200 MK II being busy in some situations. More to follow, as UPS visits my house tonight

The 70-200 is def more busy, for sure. Sometimes I get dizzy just looking at some of my pictures due to the weird bokeh. In most cases it is just fine, but if the background is busy, prepare for some weird looking backgrounds. Otherwise it looks creamy and good.
That is probably my only complaint with this lens. The 135L does not have this same problem. Even real harsh backgrounds are handled with ease from my experience.
If I was home I would post examples... But it really is not that bad, I have only have a few pictures that are really weird/trippy due to the bokeh. But generally it looks great.

i may go the same way, except I'm selling the mint 24 I just bought to fund the 24-70, 70-200, 580 ex ii I bought this morning. Expensive morning.
Still I'm undecided if I want to pare down to just these and the 35L, though I do think if the quality is as outstanding as everyone says, the 135 may go...which is a shame, I love it.
On the upside, selling l lenses used right now isn't exactly the right time..so we have some time to decide!
