FYI, just posted today - the Zeiss Planar T* 2/50 ZM lens review.

As for what's up next? We're thinking Color Skopars. The 21, 28, 35 and 50 for example. We've already covered the 35mm and 50mm Noktons.

Definitely some CV tests coming up - mostly the Color Skopars. These lenses deserve more publicity, no doubt! Will of course continue updating the previous CV (and other) reviews as well.

The Planar T* 2/50 ZM review has been updated with both sharpness and vignetting tests.

Also updated the sharpness test on the Biogon T* 2/35 ZM, added it to the 35mm f/1.2 Nokton and Leica 2,8/90 Elmarit-M reviews.

Double, I've got a quick question for you.

In your opinion and not taking into account preferences in focal lengths, do you think the ZM 21/2.8 or the ZM 25/2.8 is the better lens?

I'm asking because you haven't done the ZM 21 review yet.

Jeff, as far as which is the better of the two - they're both outstanding lenses. The 25 has a flatter field and slightly better resolution. Both vignette about the same. The distortion is also similar but a little less "complex" with the 25.

One perk - with the 25 you can get away without using an external VF provided you don't wear glasses - and just use the entire internal VF.

In the end, you really can't go wrong with either - go for the focal length that makes the most sense for your shooting.

Nice site, and good work on the reviews. Thanks for sharing.

I'd also love to see some reviews of the Color Skopar's done, and better yet put them head to head with the Biogons, or C-Biogons. I'm not shooting with a Leica, but none the less I would be very interested to see how the CV's fare against the Zeiss, and just how they come out overall.
