Let's see if I got this right. Canon is bringing out a new 200-400/f4 lens with a 2XTC build in that will not AF on the new 1dx at f8.

Unless Canon has something in the hopper that will knock the slobber out of the 1dx I guess heads will roll at Canon.

Nope you don't have it right. The new 200-400 will have a 1.4x TC built in which will AF just fine on all Canon bodies.

From what I'm reading on the forums, the difference in DR response between Canon's sensors and Sony's sensors is due to an onboard ADC chip. Do any of you with more extensive science backgrounds believe that Canon will be able to narrow the gap in DR performance in the raw image (without software manipulation/noise reduction) without an onboard ADC chip?
