Good that we are all having some fun here.

We all know about the former 2. Can the Angenieux be held in the same breath?

The Angenieux is the best of the bunch. Considering it's speed, it is rather small and the IQ is sensational on a 5DII.

35+100, either Contax or Zeiss ZF/ZE, is a very nice pair, and one which I will have one day. For now, I have the ZF21 for special shots, and 28/50/100 for walk-around purposes.

Paul, sounds like you have one of the Angenieux 180/2.3. Please, tell me more...

Haha.

Honestly the image quality difference is not that great really, especially when shooting ISO 1000 and below witch most of my shooting does anyways. For me it was mostly a question of money. My gear got stolen and I got nothing from the insurance company. I do not rule however that I might add a system with a larger sensor later. I tried a Pentax 645D the other day and that's an impressive camera. But for now m43 does most what I need from a camera system.

I just picked up a 28/2, based on your images with it, the one by John Black on pebbleplace, and some tree images in the Zeiss thread by cyra. I am really looking forward to getting it!

As for the Pentax 645D, wait a bit until the lens lineup is more complete and more modern. Right now there is a problem with getting a good lens in certain focal lengths, judging from comments from buyers. Ricoh has also just bought Pentax, so it would be wise to wait for a sign from Ricoh that they intend to continue with the system.

Sorry to hear about your gear stolen. I'll miss your Zuiko 18/3.5 posts. Will be interesting to see what you create with your new gear.

Cheers,
Paul

The ZE 28/2 is a great lens and I would seek to get it again if I'll get back to FF. You'll like it Carsten. I was disappointed with Pentax giving the new 25mm lens a $5000 price tag. Kind of ruins the concept of "cheap" MFD camera. We will see a lof of exciting things in the nex few months.

Paul the hardest part of all was letting the 18/3.5 Zuiko go, love that lens.

The Canon FL 35 f2.5 that I just bought for A$31

I already have the Ed Mika FL-EF adapter on its way to me.

The 35 will join a Leica-R 28 f2.8 also on the way. Both will serve me for my 1D Mk III and new G3.

BTW, I am a huge fan of the 135 f2 L
