The Leica R 100/4 macro. It's overshadowed by it's faster APO sibling, but it's small, sharp, excellent close-up and barely loses anything at greater distances, and has excellent color rendition. It's a little heavier than it looks like it should be, but it's also built like a tank. An underappreciated gem.

bottom line: the nikkor is very nearly a match for the zeiss but doesn't do macro.
Not a bad choice at all. I had one and got some pretty nice shots with it. You can't beat the price either. Watch out for stopped down highlights in the bokeh, however, the hexagon shapes can be pretty strong and IMO pretty ugly.
To followup, I have not yet found a CZ Jena 135 f/3.5! But KEH did have a Canon mount CV90 3.5 for reasonable $$ so I bought that to play with. Really curious how the IQ will be for this lens, reviews for it are all over the place...
It was my least favorite of the APO CVs (I had the original version, PK converted to EF) but I think that had more to do with what I wanted it to be (a cheap 90 'cron AA replacement) than what it is (a very good close up lens with tolerate it or hate it bokeh that's well-corrected and excellent with structure and detail).
