Yep, well said - I hear a lot of people break up via email these days. I like the romantic appeal of this shot.

I always break up by SnailMail. That way, by the time I receive the response I have already moved on. ;-P

Thank you all for your comments. I am afraid that in making my little "political" supposition that intimacy has been usurped by technology I may have overshadowed the concept that this entry was intended to convey: Love can be demonstrated in many ways - some large, some small. A letter sealed with a kiss is one small, but powerful way.
