I have that one. It was cool, I used it on a cruise I went on and after uploading to flickr, I could see exactly where in the ocean I was at when the picture was taken.
GPS lock is fast enough but be aware that it can drain your battery fairly fast.
Worked flawlessly on my d700 and then d3s. I have yet to try it on my d4 however, I have no reason to think it wont work.
