Four months ago a huge forest fire raged in Israel. Today I went for a short photo trip in this area. The idea was to see the rejuvenation but it was so small I wanted to cry. Only a handful of annual vegetation is present while all the trees are standing burned, black and dead. Here you see a pitifully small fire hydrant which, of course, was not up to such a huge task. The shot was taken a few meters from the place where the bus was caught in the fire.

Sad story. Down this way we use water choppers and bombers. Also the bush seems to regenerate very quickly but that is the nature of things.

Good job Yakim, very fitting for the theme. A burn also does a lot of good for nature in the long run.

Mark, I'm not so sure this also applies to places where regular fires do not occure.
