Canon EF 70-200mm f/4L IS USM

Review Date: Nov 19, 2006 Recommend? yes | Price paid: $1,250.00 | Rating: 10

Pros: Very good quality, colors
May be price

It is a great lens. Very good quality and sharpness.
Colors are also great.
It is also very lightweight, and that is also critical to me.
Another good thing is the lens comes with a hood.
Very satisfied!

Epson Stylus Photo 2200

Review Date: Mar 28, 2005 Recommend? yes | Price paid: $700.00 | Rating: 7

Pros: Good quality when used with right paper. Allows to replace one color. Epson has very good customer service.
Price, slow speed. If you don't use it for a month needs a lot of work to make it start printing right.

I read a lot of good info about this printer, and bought it immediately when it reached the market. It produces good quality, but gives me a lot of headache. It is very sensitive to paper. When I don't use it for about a month it may require a lot of adjusting.
If I would start again, I would go for Canon: cheaper and more reliable. Can print on almost any type of paper.

Tamron 24-135MM F/3.5-5.6 AD Aspherical (IF) Macro

Review Date: Mar 28, 2005 Recommend? yes | Price paid: $400.00 | Rating: 9

Pros: Good all around lens for the price. Covers most needs. Sharp. Can be used with small and normal sensor cameras.
Color saturation is not very high.

This is a prety good all around lens. Covers most needs of everyday photography. Very reasonable price.
Another good thing is that it can be used with both 35 mm and smaller sensors.
I wish it can start from 18 mm for my Canon 20D.
Color saturation is OK but not as good as in my film Contax, but I probably should not expect it from this lens.
