Pros:
|
One of the best Nikon lenses and Tilt/Shift makes it very versatile
|
|
Cons:
|
A bit too manual. At least the aperture could stop down manually

We use this lens for stitched panoramics (shifted right and left). This is also a great macro lens and very, very sharp. Probably our most loved Nikon lens. We also have the Canon equivalent 90mm T/S.

VR could make it even better

The AF-S version is my most used Nikon lens and it delivers excellent results. Even with the TC-14E the results are superb.

Shift works great for panoramics

Cons:

None really

We use this lens mainly for panoramics (shifted right & left). There are many uses for this lens that have to be explored. We have no problem that it only supports manual focus (S/T and autofocus is a bad fit with todays autofocus implementations)
Will buy probably also the 45 S/T too.
