I got a Mark I version on eBay, then added a 58mm step ring and mounted the hood from an 85/1.8USM. Overall I'm pleased. Unlike the newer mkII version, this one actually has an Manual Focus ring which comes in handy. My copy is useable from f2 up. As sharp as any lens made at f8.
