Canon EOS 5D Mark II

Review Date: Jan 7, 2009 Recommend? yes | Price paid: $2,699.00 | Rating: 10

Pros: Improved ISO, better ergonomics, menus, Great IQ,
Cons:
For my uses the slower AF doesn't bother me

Great value and an awesome camera.

I really enjoy the video function especially since I already had the equipment needed to record audio separately before hand. Should be fun to finally get into some decent film making. I never jumped into it because I didn't want to invest in a prosumer hd setup that I would only use 2 or 3 times a year. With the 5DII, I upgraded my camera and got a great though limited HD video camera. If you intend to use the video function at all, I strongly recommend buying an assortment of ND filters.

They should really just include a 1TB hard drive in the box because this thing is eating through space fast(haha.) The files are worth it though.

Review Date: Aug 20, 2008 Recommend? yes | Price paid: $5,400.00 | Rating: 10

Pros: Great IS, sharp, fast focus, great bokeh, and obviously shallow DOF.
Cons:
It's not welded to my camera.

This lens is incredibly sharp... That along with beautiful bokeh, amazing IS, and quick focus. I am in love. I have gotten sharp shots of people and objects at 1/15th of a second handheld. I am very impressed by this IS system.

Review Date: Sep 5, 2004 Recommend? no | Price paid: $300.00 | Rating: 6

Pros: good starter lens, has ability to get some long shots
Cons:
soft just about all around, not the best color or contrast,

I got it a few years ago when I started up and when it still cost a good amount of money, now I realize I was overcharged for it hehe. Mine has been laying around for a while, guess I should sell it...

Cons:
Cons? there are cons, one might be weight but it doesnt bother me at all

Just got this lens three days ago, I am still on film and just got the prints back from my first excursion with this lens... I have never seen so much color, sharpness and contrast in any of my pictures, I LOVE this lens.

Highly recommended
