Review Date: Oct 27, 2009 Recommend? yes | Price paid: $960.00 | Rating: 10

Pros: Focus is fast and silent, good color and contrast, tack sharp. sharp enough for any purpose of photography. Mighty 4-stop hybrid IS, every useful for portrait and macro works. Build feels solid and light material. Price is just about right.
Cons:

Pros: Sharp, good build quality and solid glass
Cons:
No IS obviously, but if used on a tripod not a problem

This is a L lens in disguise, good build quality and stunning macro pictures.

Pros: Sharp, little copy variation, black, AF dead accurate
Cons:
None

For $1000, you can't buy any better lens than this guy here. Great value, instantly fall in love with the picture this lens can render. I have never seen any bokeh like this and the sharpness of the image. Just simply amazing, beats all my other L.

Review Date: Jul 20, 2009 Recommend? yes | Price paid: $1,250.00 | Rating: 10

Pros: Very Fast + very sharp, AF is accurate. Compact size, fits well on my 5D2. Very useful focal length
Cons:
Plastic, build can be more solid

The most useful prime I have. I couple 35L and 135L, the really work wonders. Light weight set up and not compromising any IQ. Tack sharp and fast. I sold my 24L after getting this lens, IMO this is a much more useful lense in many situations.

Review Date: Jun 23, 2009 Recommend? yes | Price paid: $750.00 | Rating: 10

Pros: Super sharp, solid build L quality, very fast, Light weight and its black!
Cons:
None

This is the sharpest lens that I own, even sharper than 70-200/4L IS at 200mm. The background blur is very desirable @ 200mm 2.8. Solid build and lightweight, very reasonablly priced.

Super super sharp image even wide open.
