Sharp as a tack and light as a feather. At this price, if you have any doubt, just try it.

Pros:
Ulta-wide angle, sharp on 1.6 crop cameras, EX build quality
Cons:
Filters are either expensive or cumbersome to use, no HSM

Great bang for the buck to go as wide as 15mm and still be sharp. Most of the other reviews capture the gist of the lens, so I'll just add my recommendation for anyone with a DSLR that wants a wide angle that is a great performer without breaking the bank.

Pros:
Extremely sharp, excellent optics, solid build, fast HSM
Cons:
Sometimes HSM is not entirely silent, Heavy, Hard to handhold at 300mm, 82mm filter size

An excellent lens worthy of the EX designation. The only time I get unsatisfactory images is when my hands are not steady enough. There isn't really a direct competitor in the current Canon lens system especially for the price. I haven't tried it with a TC but from what I've read the addition of the Sigma 1.4TC works well and delivers good results.
