This is a fantastic lens. It is incredibly sharp and the 70-200 range is very useful. I've had it for a while, but have decided to sell it. I really have nothing against the lens, but I shoot a lot of sports and the f/4 just isn't fast enough. If you can get by with the f/4, there's no reason why you shouldn't give this lens a try.
