ef17-40_4l_1_
Review Date: Feb 25, 2008 Recommend? yes | Price paid: $800.00 | Rating: 9

Pros: almost everything... sharpness, color rendition, focusing, build quality, flare resistance...
Cons:
maybe not enough reach on crop bodies

I used this lens on crop body (EOS 400D) and I`m very satisfied with everything. Near perfect landscape lens!

Review Date: Feb 23, 2008 Recommend? yes | Price paid: Not Indicated | Rating: 9

Pros: IQ, constant f4, lightweight, sharp, price...
Cons:
none if you know what you buying..

Good tele zoom for every serious amateur.. can`t find any weakness on this lens. If you don`t need constant f2.8 or image stabilization - go for it, you can`t miss with this one!

Review Date: Feb 23, 2008 Recommend? yes | Price paid: $150.00 | Rating: 6

Pros: price, medicore IQ, small and light..
Cons:
image softness, zoom creep

Good lens for someone who don`t have or don`t want to spend a lot money on gear. IQ is not impressive but this lens is one step above from kit lenses..

Review Date: Feb 23, 2008 Recommend? yes | Price paid: $50.00 | Rating: 8

Pros: price, large aperture, IQ, sharpness
Cons:
plastic-fantastic build, bokeh

It`s a sin not to have this cheap lens. Excellent sharpness and large aperture for money it cost. Must have for everyone.
