Sold my kit lens and bought this lens instead of the standard 350D kit lens, it is a perfect walkaround lets that's let's you zoom a little more than the standard lens.
Pictures are overall very good, sometimes a little soft. It is compact, fast and a good value for the price paid.
I can recommend this lens if you want a little more zoom and somewhat better quality than the starter kit lens.
