Review Date: Jan 7, 2006 Recommend? yes | Price paid: $2,600.00 | Rating: 10

Pros: Solid built, 11MP, Pro
Cons:
LCD quality, slow writing to CF cards (compared to 1dmkII i own)

Owning a 1dmkII i decided to get a used 1ds and i did not regret it at all. Excellent camera, superb images, and good price, since the introduction of 5d. Grab one when price will drop below 2500$, you won't regret it !

Pros: Small, Sharp, large aperture

An excellent lens for indoor photography (when you don't like to use flash), specially at home!
I like this lens and i recommend it.
Finally, after 6 years of use, the autofocus drive is DEAD...

Pros: Great camera, fast, solid, great ergonomics
Cons:
need to play around to get to know the camera (espec. on focusing & sharpness)

This is my first DSLR camera. Coming from SONY V1, i found out that i had to read a lot and play a lot in order to get best out of this great camera. Needless to say that someone has to use good glass in order to obtain the best from this excellent piece of equipment.
