Pros: quality for the price.
Dust attractor...

I purchased this lens along with my 20D. It beats all my other lenses (all 2: 28-80 USM, 100-300 USM) hands down. I have been more than impressed with how sharp this lens is. It's softest around 28mm, and at135mm it has an ever so slight pincushion distortion; which I presume would be worse without the 1.6 crop.
When it comes down to about 95% of my shots this lens performs where it counts: the images are sharp. I find that I have no problem with enlargments up to about 8x12 (and I'm only using JPGs since I'm still having trouble getting GIMP to load raw files). Only when I'm desparate enough to shoot wide open near 28mm do I ever have any sharpness problem.

Zoom creep... not this copy

Dust: 2 weeks after aquiring the lens did I find that a collosal speck of dust had made it's home just underneath the first element Sad
This lens does collect a lot of dust with it's exposed inner barrel.
