Tamron 17-50mm F/2.8 XR Di II LD Aspherical [IF]

1750diII
Review Date: May 12, 2008 Recommend? yes | Price paid: $450.00 | Rating: 8

Pros: Sharpness, Color, Focus Speed
Cons:
I haven't found any

I bought the Promaster labeled version of the lens.
I compared it to a Canon 17-40L and could not find enough difference between the two to justify the price difference. Besides the Canon is only an f4.
I also tried it with a Tamron 1.4x tc behind and beside homeplate, worked extremely well very little IQ loss.
This lens beats my 50/1.8 all to heck.

Pros: Buffer size, shutter speed, Picture quality, instant on, battery life (better than 300D), keeper rate more than tripled.
Cons:
The only bad thing I havefound with the 30D is it tends to over expose in full bright sun

Lowepro Pro Mag 2 AW

Review Date: May 6, 2006 Recommend? yes | Price paid: $129.00 | Rating: 9

Pros: Padding, Sholder strap, Holds a lot,
Cons:
Haven,t found any

Shoulder strap is excellent does not slip, holds a 30D with a 70-200L attached. Holds 3 other lenses with room for lots more.
The Pro Mag2 replaced a Tamrac Velocity 9 (2 months old) much heavier padding. Easy to get the camera with the 70-200 in and out on my shoulder.
