There's little to complain about with this lens. Image quality is fantastic, it's nice and compact and inexpensive. Lacks USM but AF is quite fast nonetheless.

A pretty versatile lens. Having that sort of range and IS makes for a lens that's useful in a lot of situations.

Not razor sharp at the long end. Acceptable with the 1.4, but just barely, and I'm not as picky as some.
