Using this in conjunction with the D300 gives the best of both worlds. great balance and feel when you add the vertical grip. Shots at iso 3200 and even 6400 will blow you away.

More than just a minor upgrade from the D200. The D200 was a great camera and still is a great camera but the D300 is head and shutter clicks better with high iso performnce, better focus, a better grip, better view finder, and a better feel.

Purchased this lens for use on my D200 and fell in love with it. Appears to be sharp throughout the focal range with good bokeh.
This is the latest version with macro capabilities. I would highly recommend this lens
