Many little things that really show nikons attention to detail, such as the diopter knob, added accessories. You pay for what you get, especially with this camera.

Cons:

Price, but you pay for what you get. First nikon camera so I cant really comment as of yet.

Pros:

Good if you are just starting out with DSLR's, half beginner modes and half advanced modes on the dial so you can take your time learning.

Cons:
Starting to feel the crop sensor squeeze, 5D is *only* a couple thousand more :P

Pros:
Fast/Quiet AF, low distortion at 11mm on APS-C sensor, f/2.8
Cons:
limited zoom range but thats to be expected for its purpose.

I'm fairly new to DSLR's and lenses in general but this lens offers a very wide range with f/2.8 through and through unlike the 12-24 f/4 that tokina offers. VERY useful for nighttime landscapes or even during a sunset.
