This lens is truly a magnificent piece of engineering! Recently purchase the newest version. It's a bit on the heavy side. But, it is worth the trade off. The image quality is super sharp and colors are very crisp. It is the best lens that I've own by far. All I can say is !!! If you can get a hold of one by rent, borough or buy one.... then start snapping away... That is when, you realize the appreciation of this lens !
