Pros: Great build quality, sharpest of any DSLR 35mm lens, quick focusing, minimal color fringing wide-open.
Cons:
Slight front focus (but quickly fixed with in-camera adjustment), larger than other 35mm f/1.4 lenses, no IS for video work.

Other than my Leica lenses, this is hands-down the best 35mm f/1.4 lens I have ever shot. It is tack sharp wide open, very quick focusing, and has very minimal color fringing. The build quality is fantastic -- it's a metal barrel and feels very solid in the hand. The focus ring is also very well dampened should you want to focus manually. It's a bit larger than the Canon and Nikon versions, and it's heavy (being of good construction), but none of those issues overshadow the incredible image quality.

On the downside, my copy front-focused very minimally (perhaps 2-3 ticks on the SpyderLensCal chart) , but I was able to dial-in a little correction with my 5D Mark II -- problem solved. There is also no image stabilization which makes it less attractive for handheld video shooting.

The lens is a winner, and I only hope that Sigma can duplicate the quality with the rest of the "Art" prime range.
