I was thinking of this lens or a Canon 70-200mm F4 IS L. I compared them at the camera store and was surprised that 70-300 focused quicker than the 70-200.
The color of the lens is grey/white. It is darker than the other white lens I saw at the store.
Most reviewers think this lens is light, but I'm new at this and I think it is pretty heavy and solid feeling.
I'm very impressed with the image quality, when I zoom in on the photos the level of detail is amazing.
