great lens as far as picture quality takes sharp photo

very noisy when using image stabilizer and too pricey

Takes a very nice sharp picture on my 400d canon, however i have just sent back to canon as when switching on and off the image stabilizer you hear a scratchy type noise which does not sound normal and also the pic frame tends to jump on some occasions.
