Pros: Fast, sharp, f/2.8, no dust

After using this lens for one year. No dust issue found. I am happy with this lens on my 400D. It is a recommended lens for 1.6x crop body.

Pros: f/2.8, fast, silent, IS, sharp...
Cons:
Price? :P

It is a great lens. Much better than the kit lens 18-55 II. You have f/2.8 for all the range from 17mm to 55mm. Addition with IS, you can get a sharp photo even in low light condition. This makes it a great general lens. It stays on my 400D most of the time. Only change it when prime lens or longer focal length is needed.
I still did not see any dust after 3 months usage. Canon must have done something on new release. :D

Pros: Powerful, quick recycle, build quality
Cons:
Heavy on 400D

It is heavy with 400D. However, it does performing very well. I use it with WhaleTail Flash Diffuser (clone). The result is great.

Pros: Light weight, good control layout, excellent image quality
Cons:
Under expose, small grip, no spot metering

This is my first SLR. Too bad that my copy has under expose issue. Therefore, I need to adjust most of the photo. Will send to repair soon. :P

The image quality is good when pair with high quality lens. I love it with pair with 50mm 1.4. The images are sharp.

Overall, I am happy with it. Will be happier if no under expose issue. =)

This first lens that I have. It is great. Just started to play with it. It is not wide enough on 1.6x crop body. Check out these link for the photo quality.
