I have no idea about what people are complaining about this len. Maybe I am just luck to have a good copy, but I am not the only one. This lens produces sharp pictures most of the time and the IS really works.

The reason I decide to get this lens for my 20D is because I have a similiar FD lens for my AE-1 Program and I find it for portrait.
This is great portrait lens especially with 1.6x field of view crop.

Just got this lens a couple of days ago. I have already taken almost 700 pictures with this lens. I am totaly happy with it.
It is the best suitable for out door usages, but I have managed to use it indoors with some good results as well.
