Pros: Colors better then 50mm F1.8 and it has an extra stop. Small and light - easy to carry with you. Much better Bokeh then F1.8 also.
Cons:
Soft at F1.4 but 1.8 is darn good.

Fantastic lens for portraits (all lengths) and indoor shooting. 75mm on a Nikon DSLR but still usable inside. Average build quality but still better then the horrible F1.8 that people rave about. While the F1.8 is cheap and sharp, the out of focus areas are not as smooth and pleasing as that of the F1.4 50mm.
