Low low cost. Quick to focus. Likely a good value as it is the old standby/kit lens for the 35mm film body.
Cons:
f/1.8 up through the 3's are all soft. Fianlly at f/4 the thing sharpens up. Not much use to have such a fast lens if you don't get truly sharp images at lower f's.
