excellent resolution, this is must have lens if you need not f2.8. It is sharper compared to non-IS version and it has 4-stop IS which really works perfectly. Build quality is great

Cons:

hood could be in shape like 2.8 version has, now it is like cup for coffee :)

Lens produces beautiful and very sharp pictures. It is very usable from close-ups (using extension tubes), portraits, and land photography. Its weight is very accurate and you feel how solid made it is ...
I owned nonIS version which was great lens too, but I never regred this upgrade. IS works perfectly and it is very useful. I think this is one of best Canon zoom lenses ...

I found it very useful with 24-105 lens which makes great combo for travelling and general photography. I did one wedding with amazing results with this combo also. 10-22 is very sharp, light, very well build. I think it will reamin in my bag till I will not go to full frame world again :)

It is one of my sharpest lenses build like tank. It has bueatiful contrast and colors and IS works great. It allowed me to shoot niagara falls at night from hands with combination of Canon's high ISO sensitivity and very low noise. It is very handy lens on the 20D body

Extremelly sharp from the corners, light, excellent colors, contrast and CA control

This lens is @100 as sharp as Canon 100 Macro (I did test of this macro lens against a Tamron 90 and Canon is sharper). Colors and contrast are beautiful L-class. This is really must-have lens for landscapes becouse its weight/performance ratio
