not the fastest zoom i saw but fast enough, has excelent boka and colores and i can even hend hold it if i have aniugh light.for better pics i have to use tripod with it and it's a pain in the A**
i use it for macro shots since it can focus from 1.5 meter
i'm very happy with this lens on nikon D100
