Review Date: Nov 10, 2005 Recommend? yes | Price paid: Not Indicated | Rating: 9

Pros: Amazing clearity,I can consider this a "L" series lens even though its not listed as such..well balance, very smooth.over all a excellent everyday shooters lens.
Cons:
nothing at all...one of the best 1:1 lens on the market hands down.

Bought this lens for the marco applications, but when used as a everyday lens I'm very impressed with its flexiablity and the sharpness it takes as a walk about lens..not flashy so it stand out like the "L" lens but truth to be told the lens should be in the "L" class..its that good..

Epson Stylus Photo 1280

Pros: The large format printing is very attractive, quality at medium settings are extremely crisp and colours are stunning.Barely any difference at the highest settings.Very quiet and the software is glitch free.Might be the best buy out there (used market) for poster size printing..
Cons:
dosent have seperate color cartridges, sucks ink like there is no tomorrow when using the utilitiy cleaning for the heads.Bulky and styling is outdated.

Was looking for a affordable high quality printer that can print regular size photos and large format..there wasnt really much inline with the Epson 1280 unless you wanted to pay 3 times more.Printing was very easy without numberous commands from user.I was surprise how quiet it was..took for ever though to print in poster size prints but the results was truely worth the wait. The Epson 2200 has a edge in overall "truth" in coloring but a very small edge..cant really justified in paying 2x more for that slight improvement..highly recommended and good matt paper is a must for amazing results...this is a keeper..

Sigma Electronic Flash EF 500 DG Super

Pros: Great coverage, same level as refinements as the more expensive Canon flash, great for indoor hard to light areas.
Cons:
somewhat iffy quality control..

I tried numberous flashes at the local camera store and the Sigma was always in the top two...the Canon 550EX was slightly better on build quailty but it cost %40 more, can see the justification in that huge price difference espeically looking at some test shots.More than likely the last flash I will ever buy.Highly recommended.

Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 II

Review Date: Aug 26, 2005 Recommend? yes | Price paid: $55.00 | Rating: 9

Pros: Affordable,excellent sharpness,AF is good,did I mentioned affordable?.
Cons:
plastic, somewhat loud when searching on AF.

What more can you ask for the price this lens is selling for?..very sharp images, well defined colours, some what accurate AF..so its plastic and noisy when searching..the main thing is the glass is very good and the results are very impressive. No regrets.

Pros: Im very surprise at the quailty photos this camera takes,I myself concertrated on getting the best proven Canon lens on the market, mated with this 3.2MP 5 year old design camera the results was stunning. The price/quailty ratio for this body is the best on the use market. It feels perfect for medium size hands and the available settings is more than enough for my majority of photographers.
Cons:
slow AF in dark situations,LCD screen could be make abit sharper...absolutely done within price range..highly recommended..

For those starting up in the DSLR field this is a great camera period. The amount of features would be more than enough for the beginner to interminate shooters.Add a grip and a couple of good Canon lens you be ready for some serious photos.
