I love this lens.... I don't understand the negative comments other than about the price. My filter mount does NOT rotate with lens zooming action. I find the sharpness to be great wide open throughout the zoom range. Images have pop. My new favorite lens...
Compare the price to other L lens. I waited for the $100 instant rebate to begin. I don't have a problem with the price. There are other "discount" lens available if price is the main issue. You get what you pay for.
