This is my first digital SLR. I'm very impressed with the camera overall, especially the fast startup and processing times, burst mode, the 9 point autofocus etc.
Great camera...still have a lot to learn about it though.

This lens produces very sharp pictures! Great for portraits. The plastic build doesn't bother much, as this lens is very small and lightweight. Build acctually feels decent.
The background blur is of course not of the same 'creamy' quality as lets say that of the 24-70L, but still for the low price you can't ask for more.
Everyone should have one!

This is a great lens! Thought about buying it for a long time, but I'm glad I did. Weight isn't an issue for me at all...yes it's heavier than others, but it really doesn't bother me. Even carrying it for hours in a toploader is no problem. It makes a great portrait (head-shoulder shots) lens for me on the 20D.
Also produces very nice close-up, "macro" pictures with the EF25 II Extension Tube.
Very well worth the money!
