Nikon D80

Review Date: Jul 27, 2007 Recommend? yes | Price paid: $750.00 | Rating: 9

Pros: low noise in iso 1600, compatible with the old lens, built in flash commander.
Cons:
Plastics like body

I use both Canon 20D and Nikon , D80 is my second digital camera , comes with 18-200mm and 50mm f/1.8. I like the colorful and contrast from nikon lens and ISO auto. Something from D80 likes 20D -> low noise in iso 1600 , human skin tone. 20D is my son and D80 is my daughter. Smile:):)

Pros: Sharp as hidden L lens , Image stabilization.
Cons:
Plastic fantastic.

After I have used it for 9 months. This lens is a very good and cheap lens.It has a great focal length, and is sharp at all focal lengths. When at f/5.6, the photos are pretty sharp, and when moving to f/11, the photos are as sharp as out of L-lenses.

The 70mm lock-ring is a good feature. The things on the lens that disappoint me are the very expensive hood, and that the front element rotates during focusing.

Pros: My lens is very sharp at both ends.
Cons:
Hood is flat & wide. Uncomfortable to pack in my bag.

I find mine very sharp. I bought it in e-bay and it came with everything including the new soft case. My copy is excellent.
