This is a good lens on a 10D when you really need to get those wide angle shots. For the most part I don't notice the distortion on the sides unless I get vertical lines near the edge of the frame. Over all this is a good lens.

I use this flash on my 10D and prefer it over anything Canon has put out. It seems E-ttl would always miss the shot. I love the Metz because you can use it in E-ttl for those times when you need to and then switch it to Auto and let it do all of the thinking for you. This is such a good flash that I ended up buying two of them. I bought the optical slave for the second one and now I can use both at the same time.

I bought this lens to take bird pictures on a budget. I was using my 70-200 2.8 with a 2x TC, but the pictures are so much sharper with the 300 I will never go back. It is a great lens and I am very glad I bought it.
