I've used my lens with the Nikon TC-17eII converter with excellent results. I use the lens mainly to photograph birds around the feeders in my yard. Great Bokeh, color and contrast with this lens. The auto focus hunts a little at times, with the subject in front of a busy backround, but this is easy to work around. It does a great job with macro photos of flowers, etc. I love this lens.
Oh, did I mention the great price for such a quality lens.
