The images produced by this camera coupled with a proper lens, are the most film-like I've yet seen from a digital camera. The D700 is built like a tank and handles like a Porsche. Fast accurate and precise, this state-of-the-art Nikon is quite simply, fantastic!

I've owned several copies of the f/4 Non-IS, and also the f/2.8 IS, and the f/4 IS is my favorite among them all. Great image sharpness, color and contrast. This lens on the XTi is my new combo for travel and just about everything else. Another outstanding example of Canon technology and commitment to quality. Well Done Canon!

Having owned a fair number of Canon lenses over the last ten years, I will say that for me, If I could only own one lens, it would be the 85mm f/1.2 MkII. The build quality is top drawer in all respects, the images are to me, the finest any lens could hope to produce. I have no reservation recommending this lens, it's worth the investment.
